NEW GREEN RANGER PROPOSED FOR EASTFIELD

Green Ranger proposal aims to support Eastfield’s valued green spaces

Eastfield Town Council is proposing to fund a Green Ranger, working in partnership with North Yorkshire Council, to help oversee the Dell and other identified green spaces in Eastfield.

The role will help strengthen the care, upkeep and protection of these important local areas. The Council hopes the post could be in place early in 2027.

The Green Ranger will support the day-to-day care of green spaces that are widely used and appreciated by residents. This could include helping to maintain a welcoming environment, supporting the protection of natural spaces, and ensuring that these areas continue to be places people can enjoy safely.

The Dell and Eastfield’s other green spaces play an important role in community life. They provide places for walking, relaxation, wildlife, exercise and family time. They also contribute to the character and quality of the town.

This proposal reflects Eastfield Town Council’s ongoing commitment to looking after local spaces that matter to residents. Working alongside North Yorkshire Council, the Council will continue to develop plans and share updates as the proposal progresses.
